My child has never sailed before. Is it ok for them to sign up? Yes, the Opti is the perfect boat for your child to learn sailing.
Do Optis capsize? Yes, the Optis are capable of capsizing and part of the training is for children to learn how to right their boat.
Does my child need to know how to swim? Yes. Lifejackets will be worn at all times but kids must also pass a basic swimming test.
What should my child wear? A bathing suit with a tee shirt and shorts. Sunglasses and a hat are strongly encouraged. We will send parents a full primer of equipment you could buy for your kids.
Do I need to pack lunch for my child? Yes, please pack a lunch. We will have a couple of extra sandwiches just in case any children need additional food.
Will drinks be provided? Yes, there will be plenty of water and juice for the children.
